About
Welcome to The Diary of a Dork!
What is this?
This is where I (the Dork) chronicle some of my thoughts about food, school, and teaching. I studied abroad in the summer of 2013, started grad school in August of 2014, and have been accepted into the Fulbright Program for the 2015-2016 school year as an ETA in Germany.
This blog is made up of 4 main sections.
- The Diary of a Dork: University Edition follows my experience in college, grad school, and teaching GER 101. You can find lesson plan ideas, tips for skipping class, and why teaching is the ultimate Schadenfreude here.
- Fulbright for Dorks, or A Dork’s guide to the Fulbright Program is where I’ll be journaling my process and experience with being a Fulbrighter, in the hopes that the information may someday keep a future dork from bumbling her/his way through it like I will be. This is where you should go for my personal journal of the experience, as well as the only place you could (potentially) find something useful on this blog.
- The Diary of a Dork: Regensburg ’13 is the only completed section of DoaD, and is my journal of my summer abroad trip to Germany in 2013 (complete with photos!).
- Lastly, The Diary of a Dork is where the rest of my thoughts that don’t fit into another category will show up. Read these if you’re my mom. (Hi mom!)
