So It’s Been a While…

So it’s been a while since I last posted. Here’s a quick re-cap, which I’m sure you’ll find fascinating.

I finished up my freshman year of college with a 3.9 GPA and little fanfare other than dealing with a sleep-walker who managed to wander into my room one night toward the end of the semester. I moved out of the honors college dorms and back home (unfortunately for my brother, who doesn’t like sharing the PS3 with me) and started a part-time office job in July. I went nowhere on vacation this summer, and instead avoided the heat by playing Skyrim, seeing all the superhero movies that came out in theaters, visiting friends who are home from college, and taking a summer session of voice lessons. I’m all signed up for this semester’s classes which start in a little over a week and will be living at home, which means I will be paid to attend ASU since my scholarship covers a little more than tuition fees. For now.

In other vaguely interesting news, I’ve lost ten pounds, turned 19, and gotten my first credit card. I also get to vote for the first time at the end of this month, and then of course for the presidential election. Yay growing up?

Also, cold-brewed coffee is a genius invention and saves lots of money on iced drinks at Starbucks.

I think that’s about it for my summer summary. I’m taking two online classes this semester (and one is on fairy tales (for German credit!)!) so it will be interesting to see how different those are from my other lecture classes.

Waiting for the temps to go back down (and I’ll be waiting a long time). Hopefully I’ll post more often in the coming months.
